My inspiration

This baby was one of my Mom's when she was very young. It now happily belongs to me. Unfortunately she is not in the best shape physically although she still says "Mama". You can see the little voice box in her tummy. I am attempting to recreate her as best as I can. I don't sculpt from clay and I don't like working with paper clay or other things that would give her the stiff arms, legs and head. I will try using cloth with Gesso and painting her hair and features. I'm starting from the ground up because I have never made this kind of doll but this is the kind of doll that I love the most! Stay tuned :)

Hello, Shelley!

You and I are walking the sculpting path together! I just started my first FULL sculpt in Paperclay. So far, I have a head...lol. I am pleased with the results so far. I can't wait to see your progress! I'll be posting progress pics of my work too, which is a first. I usually just post the finished product.
We can do it!!
